Blizzard have given out invitations for this very early stage of the Burning Crusade Classic beta and it's appearing on launchers all over the place! If you weren't selected don't worry about it, as this first round is very likely just a pretty tight group of people. There's a bug causing something to show up on the launcher for some people - this has nothing to do with whether or not you'll have access when it goes live. Hey hi hello Burning Crusade beta has NOT begun and no one outside of Blizzard has been flagged for access yet.
UPDATE: It seems the beta has NOT STARTED yet, as it was instead a bug that allowed some players to access it, as clarified by CM Lore:
